Cortaro-Marana Irrigation District serves over 10,000 acres in the northern Marana/Cortaro area. The District serves agricultural irrigation needs for the region, in addition to providing non-potable water delivery for residential, green belt areas and construction.  Prior to the formation of the Town of Marana and transfer of its domestic systems to the Town, the District also provided potable water service to residents within it's boundaries.
